- 1920s & the golden years
- 1930s & Hitler's rise
- 1940s & the effect of war
- 1950s & sector city
- 1960s & building of the Wall and blockade
- 1970s & building efforts on both sides
- 1980s & IBA (International Building exhibition)
- 1989 & Fall of the Wall
- 1990s & Critical Reconstruction
Based on this lecture, students are asked to investigate certain buildings and locations in more detail. This research assignment will be developed on the wiki, and presented to the seminar in short slideshows.
